New city is the place where you can see more locals and modern face of Istanbul. Your tour starts with glamorous Ottoman Palace Dolmabahçe Palace where last Sultans used to live as the new palace, and kept as it is with its original symmetrical decoration, with beautiful paintings, Baccarat crystals, Venetian Chandeliers, and the biggest hand-woven carpet in the world.
Then you go up to the Taksim Square which is one of the most important gathering place for Turks, if you follow the crowd, you will be walking down to Istiklal street which is the longest pedestrian street in Istanbul lined up with many Neo-Classical, Neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings, churches & mosques, historical passages & patisseries, art galleries, book stores, chocolateries, cafes, restaurants, nightclubs and shops. Running out of energy? You may stop by in a Juice shop to fill up, while we are walking down the street to see The Galata Tower museum where is a great place to see 360 degrees panorama of Istanbul and seven hills.
