A considerable part of the New Mosque complex is the Egyptian Bazaar or Spice Market. The Egyptian Bazaar is smaller than the Grand Baazar but its dome is higher. At first the bazaar only sold herbal medicines and spices. As these spices came from Egypt, the bazaar was named Egyptian Bazaar.
You can taste and buy different kind of cheese from the various parts of Turkey, traditional Turkish delight, spice and coffee, the fruits and desserts you have never tried such as date, dried fig, oleaster, kus uzumu, lokma, baklava and tulumba here.
